HAIR UPDATE: I TRIMMED MY HAIR.

I trimmed my hair!!!!!
The main reason i trimmed my hair is that it was tangling.  I got tired of all the tangles and knots and decided to cut about a quarter an inch all round.
I have not had a proper trim since 2013 because i majored in the art of "search and destroy".

Search and destroy is when you only trim the "damaged" sections of your hair and not necessarily the whole head.
This worked for me because the reason for trimming was not to remove split ends, it was to snip off the heat damaged ends (sharp ends), i did that for most of 2013 until i out grew the heat damaged hair.

I hope the trim will help me keep the tangles, knots and split ends at bay.
How often do you trim your hair?????

HAIR UPDATE: MAKING PROGRESS.

My hair is progressing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am super excited about it because i am able to look back and see how far i have come.

ADVANTAGES OF RETAINING LENGTH.

  • I am now able to do certain hairstyles i could not do at the beginning of my journey.
  • It is easier to do low maintenance hair styles, eg i can wear a bun the whole week and still look presentable.
  • Shrinkage is less of a problem now.
  • I understand my hair better, we have a long term relationship.

DISADVANTAGES OF RETAINING LENGTH.

  • Tangles Tangles Tangles...i will never get used to this. The longer the hair gets, the more it tangles. I hate that sometimes i dread wearing my hair out simply because i don't wanna go through the detangling process.
  • My hair growth is uneven. :( The back is way longer than the front and well it just doesn't look right sometimes. I feel i have "bangs" by force. But hey, i still love my hair and i am happy with my growth.

That is all i wanted to share with you guys. Thanks for reading.

ROLL TUCK n' PIN

 Hey Ladies,
The roll tuck n pin aka RTP is an easy style to do and as the name suggests you are practically rolling, tucking and pinning sections of your hair.
All you need for this style are LOTS and lots of bobby pin and hair pins and of course a hair moisturizer of your choose. NEVER style your hair when its dry, always moisturize before you manipulate it. For this hairstyle, i used the Kera care leave-in conditioner.

THE GO-TO UPDO.

Hey ladies,
I hope you are all fine.
So today i just wanted to share recent photos of me wearing my go-to updo. You have probably seen me with this particular hair style and like i said, it is a go-to style coz its so easy to do and it looks gorgeous.
Even though i have worn this style a number of times, it always comes out different, it never looks exactly the same as it looked the previous times.
Stay tuned and enjoy:
