WHY THE NAME T'WALE?
T'wale
means "I Salute" or "Respect". The term is of West African
Origin, a Complementary term used to acknowledge uniqueness.
As
House of T'wale we aim to keep our identity African but not limited to a Local
Zambian name so as to appeal to any other national.
T'wale
as a term translates with our aim, We Salute,Respect, and Seek to offer you
Clothing and a Lifestyle that translates just That.
HOW DID H.O.T COME UP?
The
brand, House Of T'wale started as a dream we had from our days in High school,
this was sparked by our love of innovative fashion and an eye for quality,
despite Both having majored in different fields of study in University, our
Passion, Creativity and drive led us to pursue this path. This dream has since
been adopted and grown into a business concept to fill the current gap in the
Zambian market which sees a lot of international brands flooding the market.
WHAT INSPIRES YOUR CLOTHING LINE?
The
first and most important inspiration is from God. We never do anything without
God and He keeps us grounded as House Of T'wale.
As
young people exposed to diversity, we noticed a lot of people do not portray
who they are through their dress sense. When you meet someone for the first
time, their outlook tells you a brief story already of who they are. Many
people have been misjudged because of how they dress, Perception unfortunately
does count.
As
proud Africans, T'wale wants to preserve our heritage by using a unifying
factor in this case the "African print" or "Chitenge" in
our clothing to show our identity but still remain relevant in terms of trend
and individual style.
FUTURE GOALS?
Our
goal is for House Of T'wale to be a household name and make our mark beyond
boarders.
