TRANSITIONING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evey single time I am out there and wearing my natural hair ,somebody tells me they also want to go natural. Now I know not everyone is comfortable with chopping off all their hair (big chop)just so they become natural and that’s why I came out here today to tell you there’s another way to going natural – transitioning!!!!!!!!!!

What is transitioning you ask??????????

Well, this is simply stopping to retouch your hair and letting your undergrowth grow to a length that you are comfortable with before you cut off your relaxed ends. You can transition for as long as 3 years if you like.

  Tips for transitioning.

Moisture moisture moisture.

When you are transitioning to natural hair you have two different textures to deal with, the kinky curly coily undergrowth and the straight relaxed ends. The point where the two textures meet is the weakest point of your hair. To avoid breakage, moisturise your hair often.

Minimize heat usage.

You will probably want to blow and straighten your undergrowth so it blends in with ur relaxed hair, I get it. But just don’t over use heat. It will dry out your hair and cause your hair to break. Remember to use a heat protector serum or something before you use heat.

Protective styling

Make sure you do styles that don’t require you combing or manipulating your hair all the time e.g braids. Find a style that will help you grow out your hair.

Trimming

Gradually cut off your relaxed ends and wash yourself become fully natural. Patience is key coz it is not going tto happen over night.

i hope these tips will be helpful to you as you transition to natural hair.
all the best!!!!!!!!!!
