TEA RINSES FOR LESS SHEDDING, HAVE YOU TRIED THEM?????

Hair shedding is normal for everyone but there are conditions that cause excessive shedding, use of hard water and postpartum are examples of those conditions. In order to minimize shedding most people in the hair community are turning to tea rinses. It is believed that the caffeine contained in the tea blocks the hormone involved in hair shedding.
I cannot attest to the efficacy of these tea rinses because i have not tried them yet.
Have you tried tea rinses??????????? Let me know your experience by leaving a comment below.

SUNDAY THINGS - HEAD GEAR.

I washed my hair on a thursday i couldnt wait for the weekend because my hair was too dry. I braided my hair to stretch it but i felt too lazy to style it. Dont give me that look!!!! i also feel lazy sometimes..lol.
I decided to stay with the braids till monday morning but on sunday i kinda felt shy to go to church with my braids (believe me, they were not neatly done) then i remembered my head gear.
Boy, don't i love having pieces of chitenge material in my closet????????? They always save my day.

Would you rock a chitenge on your head??????????? let me know by leaving a comment below.

ZEDHAIR GOES TO KASISI GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL

If you live in Zambia, you probably know the natural hair Gurus behind zed hair. Well if you did not know about them, you can visit the Blog or their Facebook page.

On 25th January 2014, I joined the zed hair team on an outreach to kasisi girls and it was a great experience for me. The trip was basically tailored to mentor and educate young girls on issues pertaining to life, education, career choices and of course HAIR.

I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that the trend in my country is to relax hair as soon as one is done with high school, the main reason we do that is because we have no idea how to take care of our natural hair and as we are growing up nobody really talks to us about the beauty of the hair that grows out of our scalp: our natural hair!
